In 2021 I had the pleasure of working, on a contract basis, for a local agency on their John Deere account. The intent, if memory serves, was to create an end of year gift for their partners. It was great engaging with the Client on overall vision for the calendar, asset needs, and just general scope. With that, working with the agency was a pleasure.
There were a lot of straightforward things on this piece, multiple times concerns was expressed about marking holidays, and that was, of course, a given. My personal enjoyment on a project like this is deciding the most efficient way to create the tables for each month. You’d be surprised how many times I’ve encountered files where it was just a myriad of strokes and text frames. Definitely makes revisions and updates cumbersome.
But that’s not to cast shade on anyone, I just enjoy the challenge. Not only providing an elegant source file for the Client, but the challenge of a puzzle, whatever its shape, is part of what makes this profession fun.
