The job market is a weird place right now. Depending on who you talk to, could be too many applicants, not enough jobs. Or Companies are taking a longer/slower hiring process strategy. And of course, there is always the conversation about what affect AI is having on the job market. And with AI, is of course the ATS has in the hiring process.
All of it is frustrating to say the least. And more and more these days I am seeing more and more layoffs in my personal market and industry, with talented individuals joining the unemployment line.
With this, those looking for work are sure to be hungry AF. And speaking from personal experience, I am right there with you & empathize. But with that hunger, be careful, there are people that will take advantage of that desperation.
And that’s where this comic was born from. Like it says, listen to your gut. It knows more than you might think.
You know that feeling in your tummy in certain situations, where things just feel off when you have to make a choice. Feel like a lot of people disregard it as anxiety and push through it. But don’t be so quick to disregard it. I really do feel like it’s your body telling you whether a move is right or not.
It’s something I’ve disregarded in my life and paid for it. So those hungrily searching for that next step. Be careful of the scammers and listen to that gut.
